Skis Verification Test
- Remove all test equipment and jumper wires. Reconnect any disconnected components. Obtain vehicles unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) assigned to original SKIM from customer or contact manufacturer.
- When entering PIN, carefully enter proper numbers. If incorrect PIN is entered 3 times, secured access mode will be locked out and additional attempts to enter PIN will not be accepted. To clear lock out, turn ignition and leave on for one hour. Connect battery charger if necessary.
- Using scan tool, select THEFT ALARM, SKIM then MISCELLANEOUS. Select desired procedure and follow on-screen instructions. If SKIM has been replaced, ensure all ignition keys are programmed to new SKIM. See PROGRAMMING .NOTE: Ensure all DTCs are cleared from all modules prior to returning vehicle to customer.
- After clearing all DTCs, cycle ignition from off to on 5 times leaving ignition on for at least 5 seconds between each cycle. If any SKIM DTCs reset, perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If no SKIM DTCs reset, repair is complete.
