Removal & Installation

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located on left side of engine compartment. See Fig 4. Turn ignition off. Note radio presets. Disconnect negative battery cable at remote battery terminal on passenger's side strut tower.
Unbolt washer bottle filler neck and position out of way. Disconnect PCM connectors. Reposition wiring harness out of way. Remove PCM mounting bolts. Remove PCM from vehicle.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten PCM mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Program PCM. See PROGRAMMING POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE . under PROGRAMMING
