Fuel Pump: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Lift the vehicle and support.
  3. Remove the splash shield.
    4. WARNING: PLACE A SHOP TOWEL AROUND THE FUEL LINES TO CATCH ANY EXCESS FUEL DURING DISASSEMBLY.
  4. Pinch off the fuel suction hose (6) and the fuel delivery hose (2), then disconnect the hoses from the fuel pump (4).
  5. Disconnect the fuel pump harness connectors (3).
  6. Remove the clamp retaining screw (1) and remove the fuel pump from the vehicle.
