Installation - 1.6L

NOTE: The electrical connector must be pointed toward the front of vehicle and purge nipple must be in the up position for proper orientation of the throttle body.

Make sure that the mating surfaces for the throttle body and intake manifold are clean.
When installing the throttle body making sure that the gasket is installed in the throttle body. Align the tabs on the manifold to the pin alignment slots in throttle body, make sure that the purge nipple is pointed up and electrical connector are pointed toward the front of vehicle.

Install throttle, install so that the purge nipple is pointing up. The locating tabs on the upper intake will locate the throttle body in the proper orientation.

Install the 4 bolts and tighten the bolts in a cross pattern to 11.8 N.m (105 in. lbs.).
Install the purge hose.
Connect the electrical connector.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Install the air cleaner cover.
