Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner housing. (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL) or (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL) .
  3. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor harness connector.
  4. Remove the retaining bolt and the crankshaft position sensor (1).
