Satellite Acceleration Sensor - Pt27: Installation

  1. Position the satellite acceleration sensor (SAS) in position. See Figure.
  2. Install the retaining screws. See Figure. Torque the screws to 8.5 N.m (75 in. lbs.).
  3. Connect the SAS electrical connector. See Figure.
  4. Install the quarter panel trim.
    WARNING: Do not connect the battery negative cable (Refer to ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - AIRBAG SYSTEM) . Personal injury or death may result if the system test is not performed first.
  5. Verify vehicle and system operation.
  6. Close hood.
