Throttle Control Cable: Installation

From the engine compartment, push the pedal end fitting through the dash panel, seat the grommet, then push the cable dash fitting into the grommet.
Install the cable's throttle body end-fitting into the cable mounting bracket on the engine.
On 4 cylinder engines install throttle cable routing clip to bracket on fuel rail, and other clip to the shock tower. See Figure.
From inside the vehicle, hold up the pedal and install throttle cable and pedal retainer in the upper end of the pedal lever.
At the dash panel, install the cable retainer clip between the end of the throttle cable dash fitting and grommet. See Figure.
From the engine compartment, rotate the throttle lever wide open and install the throttle cable. See Figure or Figure.
