Ignition Switch: Removal: Switch-Ignition

  1. Ignition switch location.

  2. Remove radio bezel, refer to REMOVAL .

  3. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  4. Remove instrument cluster bezel, refer to REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the knee bolster, refer to REMOVAL .

  6. Disconnect two electrical connectors from the back of instrument cluster.

  7. Relocate instrument cluster to the left.

  8. Remove the two front mounting screws for ignition switch.

  9. Remove one rear mounting screw and washer from ignition switch.

  10. Use a thin screw driver and unclip ignition switch from mounting position. Push switch back to remove.

  11. Push switch back and down to opening from knee bolster area.

    1 - Ignition Switch Assembly
    2 - Shift Interlock Cable
  12. Disconnect shift interlock cable, refer to REMOVAL .
  13. Remove ignition switch assembly.
