Remove the engine cover.
Perform the fuel pressure release procedure. Refer to Fuel System/Fuel Delivery - Standard Procedure .
Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling - Standard Procedure .
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to REMOVAL .

Remove the upper and lower intake manifolds. Refer to REMOVAL .

Disconnect electrical connector from knock sensor.
Remove the knock sensor from the engine block.
