Only lubricants bearing designations defined by the following organization should be used.
- Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
- American Petroleum Institute (API)
- National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI)
- Association des Constructeurs Europ©ens d' Automobiles (European Automobile Manufacturers Association) (ACEA)
