Radiator - Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove the air intake assembly.
- Drain cooling system. Refer to Standard Procedure .
- Remove upper radiator hose.
- Raise vehicle.
- Remove the lower engine cover (2) and front air shield (1).
1 - LOWER RADIATOR HOSE 2 - RADIATOR FAN ASSEMBLY - Remove lower radiator hose (1).
- Remove radiator fan assembly (3). Refer to FAN, Cooling, Removal .
- Remove the front bumper fascia (1). Refer to FASCIA, Front, Removal .
- Lower vehicle.
- Remove the air deflectors (1).
CAUTION:
Bolts are installed with threadlocker. Use hand tools to remove the upper radiator mounting bolts.
- Remove the upper radiator brackets (1) from the radiator supports (2)
- Remove the lower condenser mounting bolts.
- Remove the support bolt (2) located between the cooler lines.
- Using a suitable hanger. Support the condenser and remove the right side upper mounting bolt.
NOTE:
To aid in removal. The upper shroud cover must be removed before the radiator. Leaving the cover on may cause the radiator to become jammed against the upper core support.
- Carefully remove the upper shroud cover (2) by using a pick (3) to pull the cover retaining hole away from the clip (1) along the edge.
- Tilt radiator toward engine for clearance from condenser.
- Raise vehicle.
- Using a suitable jack, remove the lower radiator core support bolts (1).
- Using care not to damage condenser or radiator fins. Lower the core support with the radiator.
- Remove the radiator from the core support (2).
