Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
NOTE:
Diagnose any Communication DTCs before continuing.
1. Turn the ignition on
2. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
  Is the DTC active or pending?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to: INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
LIN BUS OR CAN BUS DTCS SET IN THE BODY CONTROL MODULE
Are there any LIN Bus or CAN Bus DTCs set in the Body Control Module?

Yes
- Diagnose the appropriate DTC in the Body Control module before continuing. Refer to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
No
- Go To 3
CHECK THE LIN BUS CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Switch Bank Module harness connector.
3. Disconnect the Body Control Module (BCM) C7/G harness connector.
4. Measure the resistance of the LIN Bus circuit between the Switch Bank Module harness connector and the BCM C7/G harness connector.
  Is the resistance below 3.0 Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Switch Bank in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to: POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Repair the LIN Bus circuit for an open or high resistance.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to: POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
