Cooling Fan

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the cooling fan wiring harness connector.

3. Detach the coolant vent hose from the cooling fan shroud.

4. Remove the left upper cooling fan bolt.

5. Remove the right upper cooling fan bolt.

6. Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
7. Detach the wire harness retainers from the lower crossmember.

8. Remove the front crossmember to cradle bolts.

12. Remove the right side bolt and the lower crossmember.

13. Push the radiator forward to allow clearance for the cooling fan to be removed.

14. Lifting upwards to release from mounts and remove the cooling fan coming out the bottom.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

• From the bottom side, install the cooling fan into mounts and pull down to lock into place.
• Install the lower crossmember and tighten the right side bolt to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
• Install the left side lower crossmember bolt and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
• Install the left side crossmember bolts and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
• Install the right side crossmember bolts and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
• Install the front crossmember to cradle bolts and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
• Install the right upper cooling fan bolt and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
• Install the left upper cooling fan bolt and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
