Intake Air Temperature

The ECM converts resistance of Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor to degrees in same manner as engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Intake air temperature is used by ECM to adjust fuel delivery and spark timing according to incoming air density.
