Power Sliding Door Inoperative
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Using scan tool, check for responses from Power Sliding Door Module (PSDM) and Body Control Module (BCM). If both modules respond, go to next step. If one or both modules do not respond, go to BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN OR NO RESPONSE FROM BCM , BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN OR NO RESPONSE FROM LEFT POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE or BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN OR NO RESPONSE FROM RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE under COMMUNICATIONS.
- Using scan tool, check for PSDM and BCM DTCs. If no DTCs are set, go to next step. If any power sliding door DTCs are set, go to appropriate diagnosis and repair procedure. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Using scan tool, select POWER SLIDING DOOR, MISCELLANEOUS then LAST INHIBIT MONITOR. If scan tool does not display any INHIBIT REASONS, go to next step. If scan tool displays any INHIBIT REASONS, check for obstructions in door opening and closing mechanisms. Check for intermittent connections or faulty circuits for power sliding door. See POWER DOOR LOCKS in appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL.
- Close sliding door. Using scan tool, select SYSTEM TEST. Perform open, close, latch cinch, latch release and relay test. If any test fails, diagnose wiring and connectors for appropriate failed system. If no tests fail, test is complete.
