Ignition Coil: Removal
- Release the fuel pressure, refer to the STANDARD PROCEDURE - FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE PROCEDURE
in the Fuel Section.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to AIR CLEANER HOUSING
for more information.
- Remove the Intake Manifold, refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD
for more information.
- Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector at the ignition coils (Fig 1
and Fig 2
).

- Twist and remove the ignition cables from the ignition coil.
- Remove the 4 bolts (Fig 3
).

- Remove ignition coil.
