Sensor, Diesel Exhaust Fluid Level/Temperature: Installation

1. Install the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) pump seal (1).
2. If necessary, install the three DEF pump damper (2).

3. If necessary, install the three sleeves (1) into damper (2).
4. Clean the O-ring sealing surfaces.

5. Install the DEF pump (1) into tank and tighten screws finger tight.
6. Using the tightening sequence shown, tighten screws to:
   • Tighten screws to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.).
   • Let bolts set for two minutes.
   • Using the tightening sequence shown, tighten screws to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.).
7. Install the DEF tank. Refer to TANK, DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID, INSTALLATION .
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
