Fan, Cooling: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the fasteners (6) and position aside the pressurized coolant bottle (3)
  3. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .

  4. Detach the two upper radiator hose (2) retainers and position aside.
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. Remove the left under body shield. Refer to SHIELD, UNDERBODY, REMOVAL .

  7. Disconnect the cooling fan relays wire harness connector (1), the resistors (2) and the cooling fan motors (3).

  8. Separate the wire harness (1) from the cooling fan shroud.
  9. Remove the two retainer clips securing the lower coolant hose.
  10. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

  11. Release the retaining clips (2) and lifting upwards to release the cooling fan (3) from the mounts.
  12. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  13. Remove the cooling fan (1) from the bottom of the vehicle.
