Installation 3.0L Diesel Engine

  1. Using a lint free towel, wipe the power steering pump opening, the power steering pressure line end and the power steering pump port.
  2. Install a new O-ring. Lubricate the O-ring with clean power steering fluid.

  3. Position the power steering pump in the engine and install the two power steering pump bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  4. Install the power steering pressure hose (1) with new washers and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  5. Install the power steering return hose (1).
  6. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  7. Check for leaks.
