Radiator, Engine Cooling: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the pressurized coolant bottle. Refer to BOTTLE, PRESSURIZED COOLANT, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove the front bumper center grill (2).

  5. Remove the center grill support frame (1).

  6. If equipped, remove the power steering cooler (1) fasteners and position aside.
  7. Remove the radiator crossmember support. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, RADIATOR, REMOVAL .

  8. Remove the air shutter (1).
  9. Remove the cooling fans. Refer to FAN, COOLING, REMOVAL .
  10. Separate the condenser from the radiator.

  11. Remove the bolt (2) and the radiator mounts (1).
  12. If equipped, release the tabs that secure the transmission cooler, and separate the cooler from the radiator.
  13. Lift up and remove the radiator (3) the vehicle.
