Repair Procedure - Using WITECH™ Diagnostic Application

NOTE:

If the vehicle is equipped with a Passive Entry Module (PEM), The PEM push button needs to be removed and key fob used to put the ignition switch in "RUN" position in order to complete flash process. Failure to do so will result in a "KEY not present" error on the Instrument Cluster screen while cycling ignition key OFF and ON in flash process.

  1. An overview of ECU flashing is available in the wiTECH™ Diagnostic Application. This overview may be found by first selecting the "Help" tab, then "Help Contents." This will open the wiTECH™ Help System. Selecting "Flashing an ECU" under the "Using the wiTECH™ Diagnostic Application" heading will display a step-by-step instructional guide to flashing an ECU. An instructional video can also be viewed by selecting "Flash ECU" under the "Videos" heading.
  2. Continue to - ADDITIONAL PCM/TCM REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES to complete the process if the ECU has been replaced.
  3. Type the necessary information on the "Authorized Modification Label" (P/N 04275086AB) and attach near the VECI label (See - AUTHORIZED MODIFICATION LABEL for details).
