The emission maintenance lamp will, Fig. 5, illuminate after 1,000 hours of engine operation to indicate that the oxygen sensor must be replaced. After performing the required service, the emission maintenance E-Cell timer must be replaced for the next 1,000 hour interval.

To replace timer, remove printed circuit board, then remove timer from its enclosure and insert replacement timer.
