SR4 and T4 four-speed transmissions and the T5 five- speed transmission are available for AMC and Eagle automobiles. These transmissions are used for both four-and six-cylinder engine applications.
AMC manual transmissions provide synchromesh engagement in all forward gear ranges. Reverse gear is not synchronized. All forward range gears are helical-cut and in constant mesh. Reverse gear is spur-cut and not in constant mesh.

Model T4: 1.7 Liters (3.5 pints U.S. measure).
