3.0L Systems/Tests W/Codes: Description

The 3.0L engine is a simultaneous double fire type fuel injection system. All injectors fire simultaneously one time per engine revolution, delivering one half of the fuel needed to complete combustion each time they fire. Since 2 engine revolutions are needed to complete one engine cycle, the injectors fire twice every cycle. The ECU continuously adjusts the injector pulse width and ignition timing to compensate for varying engine operating conditions.
