Electronic Control Unit (Ecu)

The ECU is powered by vehicle battery. With ignition switch in "ON" or "START" position, the following inputs are supplied to the ECU: start signal, engine coolant temperature, ignition relay, injector power signal, intake manifold air temperature, intake manifold absolute pressure, crankshaft position/engine speed, throttle position, exhaust gas oxygen content, engine knock, battery voltage, A/C select and request, injector power signal, neutral safety switch and vehicle speed sensor.

The following ECU outputs are controlled by the ECU: fuel pump relay, B+ latch relay, A/C control module, idle speed regulator, ignition control module, fuel injectors and EGR valve solenoid
