EGR Temperature Sensor (California)

  1. Remove EGR temperature sensor. Place sensor in water. Bring water temperature to 122°F (50°C). Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between the 2 connector terminals. Reading should be 60-83 ohms.
  2. Bring water temperature to 212°F (100°C). Measure resistance between the 2 connector terminals. Reading should be 11-14 ohms.
