Ignition Coil (1.6L)

  1. Disconnect coil electrical connectors. Measure resistance between primary coil electrical terminals No. 4 and 2 (coils for No. 1 and 4 cylinders) and terminals No. 4 and 1 (coils for No. 2 and 3 cylinders). Resistance should be .77-.95 ohms.
  2. Measure resistance between coil secondary high voltage terminals for cylinders No. 2 and 3. See Fig 1 . Resistance should be 10,300-13,900 ohms.
