DRB-II Test Functions: Notes
NOTE:
DO NOT
touch DRB-II keypad during DRB-II power-up sequence or an error message will result.
- In order to perform diagnostic tests using the DRB-II, the DRB-II must be in the ABS MENU. At the ABS MENU, fault codes and DRB-II test functions can be accessed.
- To reach ABS MENU, turn ignition off. Attach DRB-II to Chrysler Collision Detection (CCD) bus diagnostic connector. Connector is located under driver's side of instrument cluster. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
- All DRB-II character positions will illuminate and copyright information will appear on screen for a few seconds. If the DRB-II screen display is blank or if any error messages appear, refer to DRB-II PROBLEMS & ERROR MESSAGES .
- After a few seconds, the DRB-II menu will appear. At DRB-II menu, press "4" (SELECT SYSTEM) key to enter diagnostic test program. Press down arrow 3 times to change menu display.
- Select "5" (ABS) key to enter ABS part of the DRB-II program. After a few seconds, the ABS MENU will appear. The screen will display a menu of the DRB-II test categories for the anti-lock brake system. Press down arrow 3 times to view rest of menu.
- At this point, you have reached the ABS menu. At ABS menu of anti-lock brake system diagnostic program, specific test functions programmed into DRB-II cartridge can be performed. The following DRB-II modes can be accessed: SYSTEM TEST, READ FAULTS, STATE DISPLAY, ACTUATOR TEST and ADJUSTMENTS.
