B+ Latch, Fuel Pump & Ignition Relays Test

  1. With relay in de-energized position, relay should have continuity between relay terminals No. 3 and 1. See Figure and Figure . Measure resistance between relay terminals No. 5 and 2.
  2. Ohmmeter should read 70-80 ohms for resistor relays and 81-91 ohms for diode relays. Replace relay if not within specification. Not all relays have battery voltage connected to terminal No. 1. Some relays have battery voltage connected to terminals No. 4 or 3.
