Vacuum Advance Distributor Specifications

- With engine at operating temperature, disconnect vacuum hose from distributor. Run engine at idle.
- Using an advance timing light, check ignition timing. Raise engine speed to specified RPM. Check ignition timing. See DISTRIBUTOR ADVANCE SPECIFICATIONS table.
- Connect a vacuum pump to distributor advance unit. With engine running at idle, apply specified vacuum to advance unit. Check ignition timing. See DISTRIBUTOR ADVANCE SPECIFICATIONS
