Coolant Temperature Sensor

  1. Coolant temperature sensor is located on thermostat housing. Remove coolant temperature sensor. Place sensing portion of coolant temperature sensor in water.
  2. Gradually heat water and read resistance values across terminals. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE  table. If coolant temperature sensor resistance is not within specification, replace sensor.
