VER-2: Verification Procedure 2
- If test VER-3: VERIFICATION PROCEDURE 3 has been performed previously, perform test VER-3 again. Inspect vehicle to ensure all engine components are connected. Reassemble and reconnect components as necessary.
- If another fault exists that has not been corrected, return to DR-1B: DRB-II FAULT MESSAGES and follow path specified by other fault. If engine controller has been replaced and vehicle is equipped with factory theft alarm system, start engine at least 20 times to activate theft alarm system.
- Connect DRB-II to engine diagnostic connector and erase faults. Ensure no other faults are present. To ensure no other faults are present, start engine. Allow engine to reach normal operating temperature. Increase engine speed to 2000 RPM for about 10 seconds. Return engine to idle.
- If vehicle is equipped with A/T, apply brakes and cycle through all transmission gear positions. Place gear selector in Park. If vehicle is equipped with A/C, turn A/C on. Set blower speed to LOW.
- Turn engine off. Start engine. Allow engine to idle for about 2 minutes. Turn engine off. Using DRB-II, check for fault complete.
