Wheel Speed Sensor Test

Before testing sensor resistance, ensure no foreign material has adhered to pole piece at wheel speed sensor tip. Sensor pole can become magnetized and pick up foreign material. Check wheel sensor pole piece for damage. If damaged, replace sensor.
Disconnect sensor connector. Inspect sensor wiring harness for broken or pinched wires. Repair or replace as necessary. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance across sensor wiring connector. Resistance should be 800-1200 ohms. If resistance is not within specification, replace sensor.
