Ignition Coil Resistance

Disconnect ignition coil connector. Measure primary coil resistance between primary ignition coil terminals. See Fig 1. Primary coil resistance should be .9-1.2 ohms at 68°F (20°C). Measure secondary coil resistance between a primary coil terminal and secondary coil terminal. Secondary resistance should be 19,000-27,000 ohms.
