Crankshaft Position Sensor: Installation

Install crankshaft position sensor in transaxle. Push crankshaft position sensor down until contact is made with transaxle housing. Install and tighten crankshaft position sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS. Connect sensor wiring harness connector.

1. If old sensor is to be reused, remove old paper spacer from sensor face. Install a new paper spacer to sensor face before installing sensor. If installing a new sensor, ensure paper spacer is attached to sensor face.
2. Install crankshaft position sensor in transaxle. Push crankshaft position sensor down until paper spacer makes contact with drive plate. Hold sensor in position and tighten sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS. Connect sensor wiring harness connector.
