Test 35B - Auto Door Lock Switch Sense

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Using DRB-II, stop door lock test. Remove door unlock relay from fuse/junction block. Fuse/junction block is located behind end cover, on left side of instrument panel. Using DRB-II, actuate door unlock test. With DRB-II in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door unlock relay control circuit (Pink/Violet wire) on door unlock relay connector. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open circuit in Pink/Violet wire between relay and BCM. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  2. If voltage is more than 10 volts, use DRB-II in voltmeter mode to check voltage on door unlock relay connector door unlock circuit (Pink/Black wire). Using DRB-II, actuate door lock test. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open circuit in Pink/Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  3. If voltage is more than 10 volts, use DRB-II to stop door unlock test. With DRB-II in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door unlock relay connector fused battery feed circuit (Red wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open circuit in Red wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  4. If voltage is more than 10 volts, use DRB-II in ohmmeter mode to check resistance on door unlock relay connector ground circuit (Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open circuit in Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door unlock relay. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
