Test 5D - Mic Or OTIS Illumination
NOTE:
The headlight switch must be connected in step 1). Failure to do so may lead to incorrect circuit/system diagnosis. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

- With DRB-II in voltmeter mode, backprobe headlight switch 8-pin connector panel lights feed circuit (Orange wire) while moving dimmer control switch/lever from high to low position. If voltage changes from zero to 12 volts, replace body controller module. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
- If voltage did not change from zero to 12 volts, check if instrument cluster lights stay on high all the time. If lights stay on high all the time, repair open circuit in Orange wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If lights DO NOT stay on high all the time, repair short to ground in Orange wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
