Test 5B - Mic Or OTIS Illumination

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. With DRB-II in ohmmeter mode, check resistance on Mechanical Instrument Cluster (MIC) Gray connector ground circuit (Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open circuit in Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  2. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, inspect all instrument cluster bulbs. Replace burned out bulb(s) as necessary and perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If bulbs are okay, replace printed circuit board. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
