Transmitter Will Not Open Trunk Lid
- Ensure trunk latch mechanism operates by activating trunk release switch in glove box. If latch does not operate, repair as necessary. If latch operates, go to next step.
- Using a voltmeter, check for a voltage pulse on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module Black connector terminal No. 2 (Black/White wire). See Figure . Press transmitter trunk release button twice within 5 seconds. If voltage does not pulse, replace RKE module. If voltage pulses, repair circuit to trunk release solenoid.
