Valve Block Feed Failure

  1. Using scan tool, read trouble codes. If VALVE POWER FEED CIRCUIT or SYSTEM UNDERVOLTAGE is displayed, go to TEST 14A. If VALVE POWER FEED CIRCUIT or SYSTEM UNDERVOLTAGE is not displayed, go to next step.
  2. Inspect CAB and HCU. Ensure CAB is securely mounted to HCU. Repair as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A. If CAB is securely mounted to HCU, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Leaving 37-pin connector attached, disconnect CAB. Connect a jumper wire between chassis ground and terminal "C" (Orange/Black wire) of ABS relay. See Figure . ABS relay should be actuated. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage between CAB 14-pin connector terminals No. 7 and 14. See Figure . If reading is less than 10 volts, replace CAB. Perform TEST VER-1A. If reading is more than 10 volts, replace HCU. Perform TEST VER-1A.
