Test 86A - Testing OTIS Switches

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, see appropriate article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE:

Drive vehicle to update OTIS and perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.

Turn ignition off. Leave key in ignition switch. Open left front door. If chime does not sound, go to TEST 93A . If chime sounds, go to next step.
Turn ignition on. Close left front door. Press each OTIS button and listen for beep. If beep is not heard, replace OTIS module. If beep is heard, switches are working properly at this time.
