Speed Control

PURPOSE

This input informs Powertrain Control Module (PCM) of speed control status


OPERATION

The speed control system provides four different input signals to the PCM; ON/OFF, SET, and RESUME.

The input, ON, indicates to the PCM that the speed control system has been activated by the driver.

The input, SET, indicates to the PCM that a specific vehicle speed has been selected by the driver.

The input, RESUME, indicates to the PCM that the previously SET speed has been requested by the driver.

The input, OFF, indicates to the PCM that the speed control system has been deactivated by the driver.
