Ignition Switch In START Position, Warning Light Inoperative

  1. Remove valve relay from hydraulic unit. Inspect valve relay connector terminals, and repair if necessary. Test valve relay. See HYDRAULIC UNIT RELAYS  under COMPONENT TESTING. Replace relay as needed.
  2. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between valve relay connector terminal No. 3 and ground. See Fig 1. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair circuit or diode between ANTI-LOCK warning light and valve relay. See WIRING DIAGRAM .
  3. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between valve relay terminal No. 1 and ground. If continuity exists, replace valve relay. If continuity does not exist, repair circuit between valve relay and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAM .
