Trouble Symptom Usage
- Check for possible cause by trouble symptom and then perform specified inspection procedure. For specific symptoms, see the TROUBLE SYMPTOM INSPECTION .
- When performing specified trouble symptom inspection procedures, technician may be instructed to perform scan tool service data inspection on a specified component. Scan tool is used to monitor operation of a specified component under a specified operating condition. Component operation is then compared to a normal operating range to determine if component is operating properly. See procedures under SCAN TOOL SERVICE DATA INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
- Technician may be instructed to perform a specified DTC test. DTC TESTS are listed under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .
- Technician may be instructed to perform a scan tool actuator test on a specified components. See SCAN TOOL ACTUATOR TESTS .
