"G" Sensor Testing: 1997
- Disconnect "G" sensor connector. Connect Test Harness Set (MB991348) between indicated terminals. See Fig 1
. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between "G" sensor connector terminals No. 2 and 3. If reading is 2.4-2.6 volts, go to next step. If reading is not 2.4-2.6 volts, check wiring to "G" sensor. Repair as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace sensor.
- Leaving test harness set connected, secure "G" sensor connector so that FRONT mark on mounting surface is facing straight down. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between "G" sensor connector terminals No. 2 and 3. If reading is 3.3-3.7 volts, sensor is okay. If reading is not 3.3-3.7 volts, check wiring to "G" sensor. Repair as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace sensor.
