Repair and Diagnosis: Transmission: Clutches: Overhaul

NOTE: If clutch tube, hose or clutch master cylinder has been removed, or if clutch pedal has become spongy, bleed system using only DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid.

DO NOT  disassemble piston assembly. Lubricate push rod assembly, boot and piston assembly using rubber grease. Fill piston assembly using DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. Adjust push rod assembly to 4.8" (121 mm) before installing. See Fig 1 . For exploded view of clutch master cylinder and clutch release cylinder, see illustrations. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 .
