Scan Tool Operation

The DRB-III scan tool is used perform actuator test on a specified component to determine if the component operates correctly. Use scan tool to actuate specified component under specified operating condition. See SCAN TOOL ACTUATOR TESTS table.
Specified component normal operation should be as described. See SCAN TOOL ACTUATOR TESTS table. If component does not operate correctly, perform specified Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) test or specified trouble symptom inspection procedure (if available). See SCAN TOOL ACTUATOR TESTS table.
The DTC TESTS are listed under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TESTS, before TROUBLE SYMPTOMS. Trouble symptom inspection procedures are listed after the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) tests.

⁽²⁾	Pulse should be felt on fuel return hose when slightly pinching fuel return hose. Operating sound should be heard at fuel pump in the fuel tank.
