Test NTC-5A: Checking Fuel Delivery

NOTE: Perform TEST NTC-1A  or TEST NTC-2A  before proceeding.
WARNING: High fuel pressure may be present in fuel lines. Open fuel system with caution. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
  1. Turn ignition off. Release fuel pressure. Connect Fuel Pressure Adapter (C-4799-B) to fuel rail. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, actuate ASD fuel system test. Observe and record fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE SPECIFICATION  table. If fuel pressure is not within specification, go to next step. If fuel pressure is within specification, perform TEST NTC-5B .
  2. If fuel pressure is more than specification, perform TEST NS-6B . If fuel pressure is less than specification, perform TEST NS-6A .
