Using Scan Tool

Ensure battery is fully charged. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See DATA LINK CONNECTOR (DLC) LOCATION table for connector location and number of connections required. Some models require more than one connection to retrieve diagnostic information. See Fig 1-Fig 3 .

Turn ignition on. Using scan tool manufacturer's instructions, record all DTCs displayed on scan tool. Once all repairs are made, ensure DTCs are cleared from PCM. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES .
