Thermostatic Air Gleaners: Description

The Thermostatic Air Cleaner system maintains the temperature of the air entering the carburetor at a point where the carburetor can be calibrated much leaner to reduce hydrocarbon (HC) emissions and also improve warm-up operations and reduce carburetor icing. The system consists of an air cleaner assembly with a wax-type temperature sensing unit, heated air hose and a heat shroud (on exhaust manifold).
